Management and promotion of a tourism brand related to the Ripollès area

Grup Transversal took over the management, marketing and communication for the tourism brand "Land of Counts and Abbots". This project is related to culture and tourism, promoted by the Consorci Ripollès Desenvolupament (Ripollès Development Consortium) and four town councils in the Baix Ripollès area (Ripoll, Sant Joan de les Abadesses, Campdevànol and Gombrèn). All these places, with world-renowned monasteries and other cultural assets such as the monasteries of Ripoll and Sant Joan de les Abadesses, founded in the 9th century, were also given the necessary resources to create a high quality tourism product, such as the creation of interpretation and museographic centres, as well as adopting specific signage.

Grup Transversal was responsible for marketing this tourism project, for which it created a variety of visits to the monasteries, interpretation centres and other sites, as well as packages of activities, meals and accommodation. To design a distinctive, attractive proposal, Grup Transversal based its work on the concept that all these settings are related to the time when Catalonia was founded, therefore enabling visitors to journey back into the past and meet important figures such as Guifré el Pelós (Wilfred the Hairy) and Abbot Oliba, as well as the legends of Count Arnau and Otger Cataló, among others.

Grup Transversal was also responsible for managing the Ripoll Monastery Interpretation Centre's visits and personnel services, a venue inaugurated in 2013 which provides insight into the historical importance of the monastery.
